What’s toast got to do with anything?

If you were watching the Student Hubs at SOAS or Ventures twitter feed last week (and let’s be honest, why wouldn’t you?), you might have found a puzzling number of references to…toast.

That’s because we were running a problem solving workshop based on Tom Wujec’s toast drawing method, which you can watch here. We were exploring his ideas around drawing problems, visualising processes and working in teams. We then put those learnings to the test and tried to see if we could solve problems like: how not to spill your tea and dressing appropriately for the weather. World changing stuff.

The session was the first in a year long series of short lunchtime training sessions ‘lunch and learn’. You come along, we serve up some (free) lunch and then we spend some time looking into key entrepreneurial skills. The next one is tomorrow – check it out here, and you can see all events coming up this term on the Student Enterprise website.
